We investigated a number of online websites from some of the biggest retailers across the country to find out which one is selling the iPad 2.
Carphone Warehouse says that it is temporarily out of stock and urges interested parties to register their interest for stock updates; no expected delivery dates.
Comet has some stock online and apparently you will be able to order up to eight at a time but orders can take up to fourteen days to be delivered. However there are at least two stock keeping units - the white 16GB and 32GB models - which Comet promises to deliver within 24 hours.
Simplyelectronics has all the SKUs on stock except for the white 32GB iPad 2. It says that all of them can be delivered within the next 48 hours but unfortunately, the retailer charges much higher prices than the competition.
Amazon still doesn't sell the iPad 2 and we're not sure whether it is linked to the current lawsuit filed against the retailer by Apple over the "Appstore" name. Only the older versions of the iPad are available.
Tesco has stocks of all twelve SKUs either available for free delivery or to collect instore and you can even get £10 off by using the voucher code TDX-KMAW.
Expansys has all versions of the iPad 2 either in stock or available within five days but like Simplyelectronics will charge a significant premium (£100 on the iPad 2 16GB) to get it delivered.
John Lewis, Misco, Carphone Warehouse, Best Buy do not have stock of any SKUs of the tablet and do not have any confirmation dates as to when they will be available. Currys says that the tablet will be available within the next 28 days while Argos only confirms that you can reserve the tablet in selected stores.
