Mobile phone network Three is now retailing the HTC Desire S mobile phone, both on-line and in-stores and on price plans starting from £15 on pay as you go deals and £35 on a monthly contract.
The HTC Desire S is the successor to the company’s popular flagship Desire handset from last year. HTC’s new mobile phone launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, back in February amongst six other handsets from the High Tech Computer Corporation.
The Desire S tips up with a 3.7-inch 480x800 Super LCD touch screen, whilst being powered by Qualcomm’s new 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, with 1GB of internal storage and a 5 megapixel camera and runs from the Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with the HTC Sense 2.1 overlay.
Three is knocking out the Desire S ‘sequel’ mobile phone on their monstrous One Plan for £35 a month, which is accompanied by 2,000 minutes, a 5,000 text message bundle and no limits whatsoever as to what you can download or stream.
There’s a pay as you go option attached to the handset too that costs £359.99, on a £15 and a £25 a month 30-day tariff. These come with 300 and 500 minutes, a 3,000 text message allowance along with the same truly unlimited data package as the monthly price plan offers.
One Mobile Ring caught up with the HTC Desire S at MWC this year, where we published a hands-on video walk-though of the handset here and a hands-on walk-through in pictures here and an initial thoughts review here.
