HTC might finally bring the Pyramid, that fabled super phone that we've heard of since the beginning of the year, to the UK as the HTC Sensation.
Pocket-lint cites "people familiar to the matter" as its source who say that "It WILL be coming to the UK, though I can't say to which network. And…it will be launched in the UK as the 'HTC Sensation'."
The phone is set to be launched on the 12th of April and invites have already been sent to selected members of the press.
THe Sensation is expected to be an upgrade to the HTC Desire HD and will be positioned above the HTC Incredible S.
This means that it is likely to have a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon System on Chip clocked at 1.2GHz, a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, Android Gingerbread (v2.3.4 hopefully), full HD playback, 1GB RAM, a microSD card, Wi-Fi, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a front facing one.
Whether it will actually be the European version of the HTC EVO 3D remains to be seen. If that's the case, it means that we might even get 3D capabilities on the smartphone.
As for the Wildfire S, the Desire S and the Incredible S, expect it to be available roughly two months afterwards, which would roughly coincide with the expected launch of the iPhone 5.
