Gadget Show Live, 2011 has kicked off today at NEC, Birmingham boasting an array of amazing products from a number of interactive technology companies.
Demonstrations of various products were presented by more than 250 big brand names, as well as by the R2D2 from Star Wars.
The main attraction of the event seems to be gaming array of products including console and video games. The event witnessed the first ever display of the new Nintendo 3DS as well as the much awaited games like Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean.
The trade show also featured the £95 toy chopper i-Hell which drew quite a few eye balls during the event. The i-Hell is equipped with electric stabilisers that allows it to fly even after its controls are released, making it a standout amongst its predecessors.
“Everyone seems to love it because it fascinates them, it releases the inner boy in them and it’s a large helicopter too,” said Sam Farleigh, from the model aircraft firm Flying Gadgets.
With the big turn out witnessed so far, organisers are expecting for more than 100,000 visitors till Sunday, when the curtains will finally come down, thus ending this massively popular high-tech event.
