Samsung Galaxy Tab available for £15

Android tablet at nearly half the price

Popular group discount website Groupon now has on offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab from T-Mobile, on a 69-percent discount with a cost of £15 for the tablet and a £15 month tariff.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab device usually costs £49 on the T-Mobile contract, where the accompanying price plan forthe Android tablet is priced at £25 a month – instead of £15, for both.

The Galaxy Tab has 7-inch TFT LCD touch screen display, running the latest version of Google’s mobile OS with the Samsung TouchWIZ UI. The device is powered by the Cortex A8 1GHz application processor, with on board storage coming in the form of a 16GB and a microSD slot. Other specs of the device range from front and rear facing cameras, 3G HSPA connectivity, along with 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.

Video playback is one of the device’s strong points, as not only is it the world’s first DivX certified tablet but it also supports HD video in popular containers such as XviD, MPEG4, H.263 and H.264.

The T-Mobile/Groupon deal comes with a 500MB month data allowance, unlike the standard network offering with a 2GB data cap.
