Son Of Kaspersky Founder Missing, Maybe Kidnapped

The 20-year-old son of Kaspersky Labs' founder and CEO has reportedly gone missing and is feared kidnapped.

According to various Russian media outlets, Ivan Kaspersky, the son of Eugene Kaspersky, went missing three days ago while on his way to work.

Russian media has reported rumors that he has been kidnapped and that the perpetrators are demanding around 3 million Euros for his safe return.

Kaspersky Labs has refused to comment on the case and has stated that it won’t comment about the members of the family. The company has also asked the media to stop spreading rumors about a kidnapping.

Unnamed sources within law enforcement agencies and secret service agents have confirmed that they are looking for the boy.

Ivan used to work at Moscow based IT firm InfoWatch, which is run by his mother Natalya Kaspersky, another co-founder of the global anti-virus maker. Ivan is also a student at the computational mathematics and cybernetics department of Moscow State University.

Eugene Kaspersky is one of the wealthiest men in Russia, with an estimated net worth of 800 million Euros. The company has been ranked as one of the fastest growing software firms in the world.
