Research Firm Cites FuseSource Fuse ESB As Leader in Open Source

Open source enterprise integration software maker FuseSouce’s Fuse enterprise service bus tool has been named the leader in the open source ESB market.

According to The Forrester Wave Enterprise Service Bus report, open source ESB makers have caught up with their commercial counterparts and are capable of providing a viable option for enterprises.

In the report, the Forrester research firm gave leader status to the Fuse ESB software with high scores in the architecture, orchestration and product strategy categories.

The report read that Fuse ESB ‘represents a solid ESB solution that would be a good choice for meeting many enterprise integration and service-oriented architecture requirements’.

The software is based on the Apache ServiceMix platform and is maintained and supported by the people who created it. The Fuse ESB solution comes with support for BPEL, Apache Camel routes, XSLT or JMX engines.

“Companies today are successfully deploying open source integration and messaging technology at the heart of their enterprise IT projects,” explained Larry Alston, president, FuseSource.

“This achievement is further evidence that open source integration technology is well positioned to meet the needs of the most stringent enterprise IT requirements” he added.
