Twitter Releases Redesign For Its Mac Desktop Client

Mico-blogging platform Twitter has updated its desktop client for Mac for the first time since its launch in January.

In a blog post, the company explained that the new Twitter for Mac client, available for download from the Mac App Store, comes with some new features and design changes.

The most significant update to the client is the ability to view multiple timelines at once. The company said that users will be able to open multiple Twitter for Mac windows at any time.

“You can open more than one Twitter for Mac window at any time, giving you a chance to view your home timeline, @mentions, lists, multiple accounts, and more – all at once. Just go to the Window menu and then scroll down to 'Open in New Window',” Twitter explained.

The app comes with design changes that make it easier to use and give it a cleaner look. Twitter for Mac also comes with a separate new Tweet button, located in the bottom left corner of the app.

The company has also updated the design of the Direct Messages, making it easier for users to keep track of conversations.
