New reports have confirmed that software giant Microsoft is going to unveil its new Office 365 suite on June 28 at an event to be held in the New York City. The event, which is likely to kick off at around 10 a.m. local time, will be hosted by CEO Steve Ballmer himself and the entire event will be covered by a live Webcast.

Apple’s inclusion of an Arabic language app in its App Store, which allegedly calls for a Palestinian uprising, has not gone over well with the Israeli cabinet. New reports have revealed that one of the country’s high-profile ministers, Yuli-Yoel Edelstein, has asked the iPhone maker to immediately pull the app in question.

International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) has announced its plans to release the first appliance that it developed with Netezza, the data specialist firm it acquired in 2010. Google has marked the year's longest day, summer solstice, with a new doodle which has been designed by Takashi Murakami, a renowned Japanese artist. According to The Telegraph, Google titled the new doodle as the first day of summer. June 21 is called the summer solstice because at 6:16pm (BST) the northern hemisphere of the earth will lean the closest to the sun that it gets all year. Traditionally, the seasons are delineated by the two solstices (the longest and shortest days of the year) and the two equinoxes (when the day lasts exactly 12 hours).
