On-line mobile phone retailer Clove has now taken stock and is retailing the HTC dual-core Sensation handset for £498, without being tied to any particular mobile network.
The HTC Sensation was once exclusively being carried by Vodafone, where now that sole-ownership has been lifted and the handset can be purchased minus a contract and a tie to a network.
HTC's newest mobile phone arrives with a Gorilla glass 4.3-inch qHD 540x960 touch SLCD screen, whilst being powered by a Qualcomm MSM 8260 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU.
The device tips up with a premium design, with rounded edges and an aluminium unibody construction with the world’s first contoured screen on a mobile phone.
On-board is 1GB of internal storage and a dual flash LED 8 megapixel camera that is capable of 1080p HD video recording, whilst running from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with the new HTC Sense 3.0.
HTC’s Sensation comes with a new video service known as HTC Watch, which allows for video to be rented or bought with the media being playable as it starts to be downloaded with content available as high as 1080p HD.
The updated Sense now allows for a customisable lock-screen, where apps can still run when the handset is in a dormant state. This active lock-screen can now display social networking updates or provide access to the most frequently used applications, all by simply turning on the screen.
