Korean manufacturer Samsung may be mulling plans to slash its product cycles and release a new top-end mobile phone to take on the Apple iPhone 5 which is now expected to come in September. Apple rivals might have been taken by surprise by the company's decision to diverge from its regular annual product refresh and given that by the time the iPhone 5 is release, their own flagship handsets will be at least six months old, it doesn't come as a surprise that some may be considering new iPhone 5 rivals.

If experts are to be believed, social networking juggernaut Facebook has crossed 750 million users mark within a span of just one year. According to tech website CNET, leading social networking website, that reached a milestone by registering 500 million users in summers last year, might have surged its user base by at least 250 million in one year

UK ministers have revealed the names and photos of convicted criminals who have committed a crime in the area and could accompany police crime maps. According to an article on the Sunday Times, Nick Herbert, the minister for policing and criminal justice, said that the initiative is aimed at providing better transparency and accountability.

By modifying Android's Kernel, a senior member called Pershoot managed to overclock the tablet's system on chip, an Nvidia Tegra 2 from 1GHz to 1.4GHz, a 40 per cent improvement.

Electronic Arts (EA) on Friday revealed that the company’s website has suffered a cyber attack leading to leak of user data. US-based video game giant, EA has confirmed that one of its oldest servers was attacked by cyber criminals and customer data such as name and phone number was stolen, reports Washington Post.
