Study Reveals Samsung Dominating 3D, LED TV Markets

According to a new survey, Korean electronics giant Samsung is dominating the Plasma 3D and LED TV markets with 61 percent share in terms of both total number of units sold, as well as the net revenues earned from these products.

The survey conducted by The NDP Group, a market research company, features the data collected between May 22 and June 18, 2011.

The achievement by the company follows up the similar success enjoyed by the company during the April to May period, when it controlled over 50 percent of the US market.

According to John Revie, the senior vice president of home entertainment at Samsung Electronics America, Inc., the credit for this enormous success enjoyed by these product lines essentially goes to their outstanding picture quality, attractive design as well as to the content strategy adopted by the company which facilitates users a large collection of Apps for their products.

"Samsung 3D TVs can deliver Full HD 3D, but a TV isn't just about 3D. We also are leaders in design with our gorgeous TVs, and leaders in connected TV with our hugely popular Samsung Apps platform. Consumers don't need to compromise when they choose a Samsung TV”, Mr. Revie said.
