Samsung Claims New Galaxy Tab 10.1 Cover by Anymode Not Authorised

It seems like Samsung is trying its best to avoid any fresh controversy in its already troubled relationship with the iPhone maker Apple.

New reports have revealed that the Korean electronics giant is desperately trying to keep itself at a distance from the newly unveiled cover for its Galaxy Tab 10.1 by Anymode which also happens to be a clone of the Smart Cover by Apple.

It shocked fans and experts all around to see the company approving the design of a cover that looked so similar to an Apple product, that too at a time when there was already a legal battle going on between the two tech heavyweights over the issue of certain alleged patent infringements by Samsung.

Samsung is trying to come clean by saying that it did not authorise the production of the product in question.

“As a general practice, Samsung Electronics reviews and approves all accessories produced by partners before they are given the “Designed for Samsung Mobile” mark,” read an official statement by the company, UberGizmo reports.

“In this case, approval was not given to Anymode for the accessory to feature this official designation. We are working with Anymode to address this oversight,” it added.
