Time Inc. has announced that Apple iPad users will be able to access the digital editions of its entire publishing portfolio later this year.
The company, which has already made available four of the most popular magazines: Time, Fortune, Sports Illustrated and People, for the iPad platform, is going to extended this offering towards the end of 2011.
The new offering will be made available via three subscription plans: a single-issue subscription, digital only subscription, as well as a combo pack containing both the print and digital editions. According to the company, the bundle carrying both the digital as well as print editions will play a crucial role in keeping the revenues coming from the print copies stable.
"In the coming year, there will clearly be many more consumers using tablets, accelerating demand for content and driving advertiser interest," Maurice Edelson, executive vice president of Time Inc.'s interim management committee, said in a statement, technology site PC Mag reports.
"We are putting ourselves in a great position to take advantage of these opportunities. Having our entire portfolio available on tablets will create a significant new digital reach for our advertisers," he added.
