Search engine giant Google has updated its Google+ application for iOS, bringing support for Apple’s large screened iPad tablet PC device.
The company has been continuously updated its fledgling social networking platform since it was launched and now boasts of more than 25 million users after only a month of launching.
The updated Google+ for iOS, apart from bringing support for the iPad and iPod Touch, also updated the Huddle mobile chat feature for Google+ app users on iOS. Users will now be able to hide one-on-one Huddles, start a new Huddle from within a profile and even set permissions for who can start a Huddle with them.
Google+ app for iOS now also allows users to customise the stream view to show streams for individual circles. The update also brings with its several speeds and performance enhancements along with a few bug fixes.
The launch of Google+ for iOS did not go well as several users started experiencing problems with the app. Google later informed that the App Store had been serving a test version of the app instead of the following and advised people to re-install the application from the App Store.
"Happy Monday! To help fight off any start-of-the-work-week blues, a new version of our Google+ iPhone app (v 220.127.116.116) will be rolling out in the Appstore over the next few hours." posted Punit Soni the Lead Product Manager for Google+ Mobile.
