It is confirmed now – Motorola has announced that the Android 3.1 update has been finally made available for the company’s Xoom tablets in the UK region.
The announcement from the company, no doubt, has brought some much needed relief for the developer community who were waiting for the newer version of the OS for over a long period of time now.
According to an update posted by Motorola on Facebook, the update will enhance the performance of the tablet device with improved multitasking abilities, added connectivity features supporting keyboard and mouse, better widgets and a wide range of other improved features.
The upgrade will also allow users to take advantage of the micro SD card slot included in the device. This means users can now expand the device’s storage capacity by up to 32 GB.
Not just that, users now can also transfer images directly from their cameras to the tablet using its built-in USB port. A couple of other exciting features include Wi Fi Lock and compatibility with joystick and game pads.
The Android 3.1, which debuted some three months back in May, 2011, was made available for the Xoom users in the US before 3 months.
