Windows maker Microsoft Corp. has initiated an open dialogue between the developer community for Windows 8 and the company through a new blog, to be written by its engineering team.
The new blog, dubbed “Building Windows 8” will focus primarily on the engineering aspects of the company’s forthcoming operating system platform, Microsoft revealed.
Though the blog, so far, is not revealing too much about the details of the Windows 7 successor, but the effort is for sure, a testimony of the fact that the company is seriously trying to involve the developer community as well as the customer base in the making of the new OS platform.
"We've heard people express frustration over how little we've communicated so far about Windows 8. We've certainly learned lessons over the years about the perils of talking about features before we have a solid understanding of our ability to execute," Steven Sinofsky, the president of Microsoft's Windows division at Microsoft, wrote in the inaugural blog post.
“Many of us will author posts, and all of us will read and take note of your comments on this blog,” he added.
Developers or as a matter of fact anyone can stay up to date by following the blog on Twitter @BuildWindows8.
