New Survey Finds that Many Mobile Phone Users in the UK Never Change Phone Providers

A new survey reveals a shocking ‘fact’ that roughly 20 million adult mobile phone users in the UK have never switched their mobile phone provider- something that is likely to have cost them more over time.

The survey, conducted by “Which? Mobile” found that approximately 5.3 million people claim that their phone costs dropped significantly after switching service providers.

As a part of the survey, “Which? Mobile” asked 8,001 people about their personal experiences after they moved to a different provider. Apparently, nine out of 10 consumers found the procedure for switching mobile phone providers really easy.

"If you have been with the same mobile provider for years, the chances are you could find a better deal elsewhere,” claims Tom McLennan from Which? Mobile, reports The Guardian UK.

“With so many tariffs out there it pays to shop around, either through a comparison site or by checking out what different networks have to offer," he added.

Another surprising, if not shocking fact revealed by the study was that one out of 10 users still prefer to go to a mobile phone store to make a new purchase, rather than browse through online comparison websites.
