UK police lift six, charge one in Anonymous probe

A man has been charged by the London's Metropolitan Police Central e-Crime Unit in connection with an investigation into Anonymous.

Five other Brits were also fingered by the filth, but Peter David Gibson, 22, a student,from Hartlepool, Cleveland, is the only one to have been charged so far.

Gibson faces charges of "conspiracy to do an unauthorised act in relation to a computer, with intent to impair the operation of any computer or prevent or hinder access to any programme or data held in a computer or to impair the operation of any such programme or the reliability of such data - contrary to Sec 1(1) of the Criminal Law Act 1977", the Met Police said.

Gibson was arrested by officers from Scotland Yard's Central e-Crime Unit in connection with an on-going investigation into headless hacking band Anonymous, and its affiliiate LulzSec.

He is bailed to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on September 7th.
