Tetris arrives on Android

Computer games manufacturer Electronic Arts has announced that it has released the popular Tetris game for Android, completely free of charge.

This news arrives only a short time after EA brought out Scrabble for the Google mobile platform, also for free, where Tetris is the second gratis game on Android from Electronic Arts.

Tetris has now been played for over 27 years, in over 185 different countries whilst being published on over 50 platforms too - where it is still today one of the most played computer games around.

EA's Tetris for Android has new and improved visuals, with touch screen controls for the objects to be slid, rotated and dropped into place for cleaning of lines and racking up points and all with the traditional music being played in the background.

Tetris has reached over 132 million paid for downloads, where the EA version can be brought down from the Android Markertplace - in partnership with Blue Planet Software, Inc. who manages the exclusive licensing rights to the Tetris brand.
