Late News: Skype on Home Phones, HTC Titan Now Official, Tim Cook Promotes Eddy Cue

VoIP services provider Skype has dished out a new home adapter and cordless phone that will make it easier for people to make cheap calls via Skype. According to the company, the Freetalk ConnectMe Home Phone Adapter is capable of connecting a normal home landline to a router which allows users to make VoIP calls to other Skype users regardless of their device.

HTC has finally unveiled some of its new range of Windows Phone handsets due at the end of the year, and there's just enough hardware improvements for it to be seen as superior - featurewise - to HTC's own Android portfolio. The Titan features a 1.5GHz SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255T, which is the same one that powers the Flyer.

Internet search giant Google is saying that it is all set to look to the user discussions regarding the renovation introduced in the App Engine’s pricing scheme. The search engine’s decision to dig deeper into the issue has followed the widespread vocal outrage that broke out due to the massive hike introduced into the scheme.

Apparently, the reports started surfacing when Chance Arrington, the chief of Nokia’s developer marketing for the North America region tweeted asking for help in naming the company’s new series of Windows Phones.

Apple’s new CEO and the successor of the legendary Steve jobs, Tim Cook has come up with his first big move by promoting former vice president Eddy Cue to the role of Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services. Cue’s new role in the company will include the responsibilities of overseeing the iTunes Store, App Store, iCloud and iAds.
