GameStop Starts iOS Trade-ins, Will Soon Sell iPhones, iPads, iPods

Word on the streets is that GameStop is planning to unveil a brand new offering by introducing the entire iOS family line up including the iPhone, iPad and iPod at their stores.

According to a 9to5 Mac report, the revelation was made by the company to dealers during a recently held annual trade show in Las Vegas.

In addition to that, GameStop has also kick-started accepting the trade-ins of iOS devices for in-stores credits. According to industry observers, the move has been taken by the company in anticipation of the forthcoming release of the brand new iPhone 5, scheduled to hit the market sometimes during the month of October.

More than 20 million units of the iPhone were sold during the June quarter- thanks to the extended distribution process that Apple practiced after inking multiple tie ups with various additional carriers all around the globe.

As of now, reports state that the iPhone 5 will make its debut on Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint as well as T-Mobile USA. If these reports are to be believed, it will be the first instance when an iPhone product will be offered through other wireless carriers apart from Verizon and AT&T.
