OMR attended an event recently by Sony Ericsson where we caught some images of a useful new accessory to their range - the LiveDock multimedia station.

The device offers up a resting and changing cradle for their phones, along with a standard USB port and a microUSB variant too that allows the connected handset access to a variety of peripherals.

We saw the one of the latest Sony Ericsson handsets connected up to a TV set last night via a microHDMI cable, whilst wirelessly connected to a keyboard and mouse with Angry Birds being playing - all via the docking station.

One Mobile Ring was informed by one of SE's demonstrators they have even seen a Sony PlayStation controller plugged in to the LiveDock, where game play on a Sony Ericsson mobile phone took place and via the console device. Now, if only the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play had a microHDMI port.
