HP Brings Out New Printers, Scanners with 3D TopShot Scanning Technology

Hewlett Packard has rolled out new printers and scanners which have been designed to utilise the full power of the cloud for printing and scanning.

According to PC World, HP has developed a new 3D scanning technology called HP TopShot Scanning, which is designed to take six images of a document or a 3D object and combine these images to form a single high quality image.

The technology will feature in the soon-to-be-launched HP TopShot Laserjet Pro M275 printer, which will retail for $349.

The company also introduced two new printer series targeted at small and medium sized businesses. The HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One series and the HP Officejet Pro ePrinter are capable of dishing out colour images at 50 percent less per page cost than laser printers.

The printers also come with support for ePrint technology that allows users to give print commands from their mobile devices to the printers. The new ePrint technology will now come with Wireless Direct, which will allow a mobile device to connect to a printer on the same peer-to-peer Wi-Fi technology.
