AMNews: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 with iCloud, Facebook Music Service, Intel Atom Now Supports Android

Apple has released the new beta version of Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 which comes integrated with its iCloud cloud-based data and media storage service. According to an article on The Register before the latest version, developers were required to install iCloud separately on Mac OS X Lion to work on it.

Word on the street is that social media juggernaut Facebook is going to announce its own music service at the forthcoming f8 conference, that is being held on September 22. The company may also announce new tie-ups with digital music services such as Rdio, MOG and Spotify - according to industry rumours.

Intel Corp. has officially confirmed that the next generation of Intel Atom CPUs - the E6xx series will be equipped with the Android 2.3 OS platform, also known as the Gingerbread. The company also set itself a deadline for the same, which is January 2012.

Watson, the supercomputer created by IBM, is joining forces with WellPoint - the largest health insurer in the US in terms of membership, to help diagnose and cure patients. Watson happens to be the same supercomputer that created quite a stir earlier this year after appearing on the widely popular TV game show “Jeopardy!” Watson went on to beat two human champions.

In an attempt to raise sagging sales of its 3DS hand held, Nintendo is planning to allow 3DS owners to record video in 3D. The company announced the console would receive a firmware update in November, which would allow people to record 3D videos on the device.
