AMNews: McAfee DeepSAFE on Intel Chips, Intel Ivy Bridge at IDF 2011, Jeremy Hunt's Anti-Piracy Drive

Security software maker McAfee’s forthcoming offering DeepSAFE technology will be equipped with the ability to consistently monitor the activities in your system’s memory and processor, thus throwing away any malicious software even before they can start their disastrous activities, the company announced.

The second day of the Intel Developers Forum started with the company’s vice president and general manager Mooly Eden’s keynote speech. Eden did not miss the opportunity to give attendees an overview of the chipmaker’s Ultrabook ambitions as well as some insight into its current state of business.

UK mobile retailer Handtec has published the picture of what looks to be yet another high end Android-based smartphone from HTC, the Bass otherwise known as the Runnymede. Handtec doesn't disclose the price or the delivery date but only says that it will be available in white and in unlocked mode.

PCs equipped with Intel’s Thunderbolt data transfer technology will be introduced next year, the chip maker has revealed. Intel has revealed during its developers conference that Asus and Acer will release the first ultralight and sleek Ultrabook PCs with Thunderbolt technology - which is significantly faster than USB 3.0.

Jeremy Hunt has appealed to search engines like Google and Internet Service Providers (ISP) across the country to step forward and take a more active role in order to prevent online piracy. According to Hunt, both ISPs and search engines should pro-actively block all those links that lead to websites containing copyright infringing materials for downloads.
