Magisto Brings Web-based Video Editing, Turns Raw Video into Clips

Magisto, an Israel based startup has come up with a brand new automated video editing platform.

The site claims that it can automatically edit any raw video footage submitted by users and make a short movie out of it in no time.

Users can upload up to 16 unedited video files, add a soundtrack, a title, and all they need is to sit back and wait for a few minutes before they are notified via an email that their short movie is ready for sharing with friends and family.

The site is obviously not aimed at professionals, and neither can it fulfil the demand of those, looking for a platform to showcase their creativity through homemade movie clips. In fact, the platform has been created keeping in mind of those who either don’t have the interest, or are unable to manage time from their busy schedule for messing around with high-end editing software.

“The average person doesn’t edit videos,” says Magisto co-founder and CEO Oren Boiman, Mashable reports.

“So they either post long boring videos nobody wants to watch, or they save them on their hard drive - unwatched, unedited, unshared. We made Magisto to give people a way to take their videos and turn them into movies that are fun to watch and easy to share,” he added.
