HTC Confident to Win Against Apple in Patent Infringement Lawsuit

HTC, according to new reports, is confident about its triumph over Apple in the two tech giant’s ongoing legal conflict.

Apparently, a senior HTC executive was recently heard saying that under the current scenario, the company is highly likely to defeat Apple inc.

HTC, which is the second largest smartphone maker in Asia, dragged Apple into court in Delaware by alleging that the iPhone maker was infringing on four of its patents - the same four patents it had obtained from Google.

`We have no question that HTC will definitely win. HTC is waiting for a final ruling from the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) and the ruling will be on our side,’’ said the President of HTC North Asia, Jack Tong in statement during a press conference with South Korean reporters, according to a Korean Times report.

He added that HTC will leave no stone unturned to defend its intellectual properties against any infringement.

`If HTC wins in the United States, that will also affect the Samsung-Apple case, on Samsung’s side,’’ claims an unnamed source inside Samsung Electronics, as reported by the Korean Times.
