HTC launches the HTC Rhyme phone

by Rob Kerr, 21 Sep, 2011 News

Mobile phone manufacturer HTC has announced their latest smartphone in the HTC Rhyme, with a range of accessories and a design that is geared up for the gentler sex.

HTC’s Rhyme arrives with a more elegant and sleeker look than seen in their other mobile phones – but still with a familiar unibody form factor, which is now associated with their latest handsets.

The HTC Rhyme smartphone will arrive with a 3.7-inch WVGA 480x800 Super LCD touch screen display, whilst powered by a 1GHz processor, with a 5 megapixel camera and an LED flash plus an accompanying 4GB of internal storage.

Android

‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 runs the phone, with a refreshed HTC Sense overlay to the platform with an all-new home screen set-up that provides a cleaner and uncluttered way to see and use the apps and widgets.

There’s a series of accessories around for the HTC Rhyme, such as a docking station and sports armband, tangle-free headphones and the Rhyme Charm. The latter of which is a small light-emitting cube that attaches to the phone by a cord, which then in turn dangles from the handbag and discretely alerts to incoming calls or messages.

No prices or costs have been unveiled to the HTC Rhyme as yet, only that the mobile phone will be available in October and in the colours of Clearwater, Hourglass and Plum.
