Facebook’s iPad App Developer Quits

A key member of the social media giant Facebook’s engineering team has left the company, expressing his dissatisfaction over the way the company is currently handling the project he was working on - the official Facebook app for Apple iPad.

The man, named Jeff Verkoeyen, was a crucial part of the team which was working on the Facebook app for iPad.

Apparently, the man was pretty much annoyed that the social media giant was dragging its foot on the project he was working so hard for, and had huge expectations on.

He wrote all about his dissatisfaction and Facebook’s apparent lack of interest in bringing up the app in a blog post on his personal blog. The comments posted by him were removed later though.

But, thanks to TechCrunch, we have got a few excerpts of what Verkoeyen wrote about.

“It is now nearly 5 months since the app was feature complete and I haven’t seen it released except for when the project was leaked on Techcrunch. Needless to say this was a frustrating experience for me,” he wrote.

“The experience of working on this app was a large contribution to the reasons why I left Facebook, though that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a difficult decision,” Verkoeyen added.
