Late News: Samsung Nexus Prime Teaser Video, Official Hotmail Android App, Yahoo Scene Launched

Samsung has demonstrated the maiden teaser video of what could be the company’s much awaited offering- the Samsung Nexus Prime. The teaser video, is a part of the electronic giant’s campaign for the promotion of its next “unpacked” announcement, scheduled on the coming October.

Microsoft explained, on Tuesday, the reason behind it killing the Windows 7 Start Menu, and replacing the same with a start screen in the company’s forthcoming offering - the Windows 8 OS platform.

Microsoft has designed the official Android app for its popular Hotmail email service. Hotmail is the world’s most popular email service with more than 360 million users worldwide. The app, which is available as a free download on the Android Market, is capable of push-enabled access to users’ inbox, calender and contacts.

Internet giant Yahoo has launched a revamped video portal in a bid to make its mark in the lucrative online video streaming market. Yahoo Screen is a web video platform which will offer users all of Yahoo’s video content and premium programming from a single platform.

Mozilla is advising users to disable the McAfee ScriptScan software, claiming that it might lead to security and stability problems. The software, which comes with McAfee’s VirusScan antivirus program, scans the web browser for malicious scripts and offers users a safer web browsing experience.
