HTC Soon to Release Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Handsets; HTC Titan and HTC Radar

HTC has unveiled a pair of new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango powered handsets, thus pushing ahead of Nokia which is unlikely to come up with its own Mango based handset before the end of the year.

HTC has announced the new handsets, dubbed the HTC Titan and HTC Radar, will go on sale toward the end of October in the US, Europe and in a few other major markets.

The Titan will be priced (unsubsidised) somewhere around $600 while the Radar will be available for around $450.

With this, both devices are going to be the first ever handsets to be running on the long awaited Mango OS platform.

Meanwhile, word on the street is that Nokia’s first ever Mango powered handset, rumored to be named the Nokia 800, is likely to hit store shelves toward the end of the year.

“The key for Nokia will be how they handle carrier relationships, because Mango is not for low-end devices,” said analyst at CLSA, CK Cheng, when he expressed his opinion on the ongoing developments in the Windows Phone eco-system, as reported by the Financial Times.
