VidyoMobile, an application launched a few days ago, will allow users to make the best of iPhone 4S in business communication.
The app, intended for video teleconferences "enables mobile workers to hold a true enterprise video conference system in the palms of their hands," according to Ofer Shapiro, chief executive of Vidyo, VentureBeat reports.
VidyoMobile is designed to use iPhone 4S' powerful processor as well as improved video features to allow customers to set up high quality video conferences. The users can enlarge the image of certain participants with pinch and zoom controls, just as some previous applications enabled iPad 2 users to hold video conferences.
Now available from the AppStore, VidyoMobile includes updates compatible with iOS 5 and it allows more than 100 participants at a time to "experience telepresence quality conferencing with shared content viewing on the move". The dynamically optimised video streaming is meant to allow easy conversations between people working remotely using their iPhone 4S or iPad 2.
The company is using "telepresence" technologies to help reduce travel expenses without losing the personal touch of in-person communications. Last month, Vidyo managed to raise $22.5 million in a fourth round of funding for its high-quality video conferencing.
