Noon News: Andy Rubin on Android Tablets, iOS 5 iTunes Match Option, Twitter Google Search Deadlock Confirmed

If we are to believe the words from head of Google Android division, the company is slowly and gradually strengthening its foothold over the uni-polar global tablet market dominated by Apple Inc.'s massively popular iPad.

Automattic Inc., the company which runs the massively popular blogging platform WordPress officially joined forces with the online media and marketing outfit Federated Media Publishing on Wednesday, both companies confirmed.

Several iPhone iOS 5 users are reporting the appearance of the iTunes Match option on the Music section of their settings. The setting for iTunes Match has been available to developers for a long time but it is only now that it has started to appear on devices belonging to the general public.

Twitter's chief executive officer Dick Costolo has revealed that the talks between Google and Twitter about renewing their search deal are in a ‘deadlock'. Speaking during the Web 2.0 summit in San Francisco, Costolo confirmed what everyone in the tech circles knew, that Google and Twitter are nowhere near renewing their deal.

C Spire, a small time US based mobile phone carrier, has announced that it will soon start offering Apple's newest iPhone 4S device, beating much larger rival T-Mobile USA. The company, which recently changed its name from Cellular South, has roughly 1 million customers in four US states.
