AMNews: Sony PlayStation Suite for Android, Netflix in UK & Ireland, IBM Completes Algorithmics Acquisition

Sony recently announced that it plans to bring the PlayStation Suite to other Android-based devices in the future. The company launched the PS Suite for its Sony Ericsson Xperia Play PlayStation branded Android-based smartphones to allow users to play PS One games on their mobile devices.

Netflix, the California-based online movie-on-demand service provider, announced on Monday its expansion into UK and Ireland markets. The company stated services in the two countries will begin in early 2012 and offer unlimited movie and television streaming over the Web to both computers and PCs for a low monthly subscription price.

Google has announced that it is going to make available AdWords Express in the UK as well as in Germany. The company launched AdWords Express this past July to assist local businesses in getting more traffic to their Places and Web pages.

Microsoft is working hard to make sure the new products in the massively popular Xbox lineup are ready for the E3 gaming conference's 2013 edition. The Windows maker is doing its best to work in collaboration with all its partners so the next version of the console, dubbed Xbox Next, can be introduced at the E3 2013.

IBM announced on Friday that it is finally done with the acquisition of Algorithmics -- the Canadian-based risk management software maker. The cost of the acquisition, previously announced by the company, was said to be somewhere around the $380 million.
