Verizon Wireless is set to launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the United States just after Black Friday according to Droid-life.com which quotes an anonymous source.
The site published a screenshot that mentions an initial marketing push from the US mobile carrier for the Droid Razr and the HTC Rezound.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus comes in just afterwards as part of Samsung's Holiday portfolio, which means that it could be out for Black Friday which should be on the 25th November.
Verizon has the exclusivity for the phone in the US which was launched only a few weeks ago and will be the first one to come with Google's latest mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The phone has a massive 4.65 inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1280x720 pixel resolution, 1GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB onboard storage, a TI OMAP4460 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz, a five megapixel camera and no microSD card slot.
The Galaxy Nexus should be released in November in the UK and we suspect that it will be priced at around £500, not far from where the previous Nexus S started before tumbling to around £300.
Potential rivals will include the Samsung Galaxy S II HD, the Galaxy Note as well as the HTC Rezound if it launches here.
