The Motorola Xoom 2s build on from the success of original Xoom, whilst adding two new versions to the European market.
The new Xooms both feature Android 'Honeycomb' 3.2, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, with a Corning gorilla glass display, a 5 megapixel camera and 1.3MP front version, with 16GB of internal storage and the splashguard waterproof coating that is a part of the Razr handset.
The two tablets also have the MotoCast app that we first saw on the Razr, which allows the streaming of music, photos, videos and documents from a PC or Mac and tablet over WIFI and 3G.
Motorola's Xoom 2 has the same 10.1-inch screen size as the original Xoom, only with a brighter display with better colour enhancements, with edges designed to be more comfortable to hold whilst being 100grams lighter.
The Xoom 2 media edition will arrive with WIFI connectivity and a smaller 8.2-inch display, with a weight that is less than a paperback book.
Its screen has a 178- degree viewing angle, with a 20-percent improvement in graphics performance over the original Motorola Xoom, for smoother gaming.
There is even an adaptive virtual surround sound, where the tablet can even be used as a universal remote control.
Motorola has announced the Xoom 2 will be available mid-November for £379.99 and the Xoom 2 media edition tablet will be £329.99 at Carphone Warehouse in the UK, Dixons, PC World and Currys.
