It seems the craze for Call of Duty has reached a new level when this weekend armed robbers hijacked two trucks loaded with thousands of copies of Modern Warfare 3, the latest game in the Call of Duty series.
This incident took place somewhere near Paris. Total value of this robbery is estimated above three quarters of a million euros.
To accomplish this mission, the robbers first blocked the road with a car to cause a crash. And when the drivers exited the truck, the attackers attacked with tear gas. Even before the drivers could realise what was happening the masked men did stole the truck which had almost 6,000 copies of the Modern Warfare 3, according to Craveonline.
A second truck, heading for a store in the Yvelines district, came under attack by three thieves who accomplished their task by threatening the driver.
The whereabouts of the copies are yet to be determined, but most likely, they will reach the fans and the fans will be ready to pay anything to get them. Modern Warfare 3 is made for PC, Wii, PS 3 and as well as Xbox 360 and will be available beginning November 8th.
