American on-line mobile phone news site pocketnow.com has published a press image of the yet to be announced HTC Edge, which is reported to be the world’s first mobile phone to arrive with a four core processor.
Pocketnow.com received the information and presumably the press picture from a ‘reliable source’, where the HTC Edge could be arriving as early as Q1 or Q2 of 2012.
The website has noted the phone is just over 10 millimetres think, whilst containing a 4.7-inch display capable of a HD 720p resolution with the AP30 NVIDIA Tegra 3 four core 1.5GHz processor.
Other specifications of the alleged mobile are 1GB of RAM, a backlit 8 megapixel camera and a 28-millimetre f/2.2 lens, Bluetooth 4.0 and the Dr Dre Beast Audio enhancements.
The website has suggested the phone could have the Sense 4.0 overlay to Android, with other HTC applications, such as the Listen music store, Read bookstore and Play gaming hub – along with their HTC Watch movie rental portal, only in HD.
One Mobile Ring believes the HTC Edge will most likely be launched at Mobile World in Barcelona next year or for a greater impact, perhaps Las Vegas’ CES in January.
