HTC's chairperson Cher Wang has expressed her optimism about the future of the smartphone market and the growth of her company.
Speaking at the APEC forum in Honolulu, Wang said that she was certain the company, which has grown along with the might of Android, will do much better in the future.
"I believe we will do better and better," said Wang, adding that she was excited about the smartphone market and the way high end smartphones have changed people's lives around the world.
Wang said that HTC was committed to coming up with world-class smartphone devices for consumers. HTC, which was recently admitted to the list of world's top 100 brands, has made its mark by offering high-end and mid ranged Android based smartphones. The company also develops smartphones based on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform.
Wang, who was also the Taiwanese representative at the APEC Business Advisory Council meeting which was held between November 7 and 10, said that the company was planning to increase its presence in the Chinese and United States market.
Analysts have been worried about the company's declining gross margins and competition that it is facing globally.
