HP Creates New Certification Programs for Cloud Computing

Hewlett Packard recently introduced a new suite of cloud computing certifications which will provide proof that partners and customers possess the ability to design and deploy cloud environments.

"This new certification was added by HP's ExpertONE Converged Infrastructure certification portfolio in Vienna during the HP Discovery conference. It covers various cloud areas like infrastructure, business alignment, software and also provisioning," as stated by Rebekah Harvey, Director of learning product management, certification and learning at HP.

Hervey went on the say, "We're really blending our Converged Infrastructure certifications with our cloud certifications," as reported by CRN.

HP is also expanding their learning offers to various partners, also termed HP ExpertONE Learning Solutions Partners, such as Global Knowledge, Next Step Learning, CompetenC Solutions, INDC and also Training Partners.

According to Harvey, the aim is to provide customers and partners new skills which are necessary in the ever growing cloud computing dominated marketplace.

Harvey stated, "This is really focused on closing the skills gap...and give people a roadmap to close the competency gap."
