Alcatel has launched a budget Android Gingerbread smartphone which comes in single and dual SIM versions.
The Alcatel One Touch 918 is rumoured to be launching in the market soon as it has already appeared on the Bluetooth SIG and Alactel's website reports Ubergizmo.
The device comes with a 3.2 inch HVGA display, 3G and Wi-Fi support for connectivity, FM radio, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 3.2 MP camera. The Alcatel One Touch 918 is capable of supporting a microSD card of up to 32 GB.
The One Touch 918 also comes with heavy Facebook and Twitter integration, which makes it a great Android for the younger ones. The device also comes with a dual SIM version called the One Touch 918D, which has all the same features that the single SIM version has.
As the device is a budget phone and not too great on the hardware, it is highly unlikely that it will get an Android Ice Cream Sandwich update.
Apart from giving the device a dedicated web page, Alcatel is yet to announce the pricing for the two phones or reveal which markets it's going to be available in.
