Finnish software developer Rovio has released a new version of Angry Birds Seasons for Christmas, on the Android OS, Apple iOS, Mac and the Chrome browser. The new addition to the popular mobile game is accompanied by the news that the application has now been downloaded over 500 million times, with 10 million Facebook fans too.

A new hidden feature called Dreams, in the newly launched Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has been discovered, which Google seems to have either forgotten or hasn't disclosed purposefully to save it for later.

According to Yahoo, Apple iPhone has managed to defeat every major news event, pop stars as well as celebrities as the most searched term over the internet for the year 2011. Yahoo!, the digital media company, stated that the smartphones are more popular in comparison to pop star Katy Perry, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.

A Samsung Galaxy SII exploded in a man's pocket on a flight in Australia, a new report has claimed. The phone was virtually destroyed but the man did not sustain any burn injuries. The report comes just three days after it was reported that an Apple iPhone exploded in flight in Australia.

On Thursday, YouTube announced the "most extensive" additions and changes to its website in terms of appearance, functioning and organisation for the first time in its six-year history as the top internet site for videos.
