According to an IHS iSuppli report, just two weeks after its release, Amazon's Kindle Fire has gained huge success and is way ahead of some of its other tablet competitors. The market research firm is very confident of this new Amazon tablet and has already declared as the second-most popular tablet in the world right after Apple iPad.
According to IHS, Amazon will be shipping 3.9 million units of Kindle Fire tablets during this fourth quarter. If this figure is true then Kindle Fire will enjoy 13.8 percent share in the global tablets market which is far ahead of Samsung, placed at number 3, and despite having a huge and wide variety of Galaxy Tab tablets it is expected to have only 4.8 percent of the market.
The market leader is still Apple's iPad that has a very comfortable 65.6 percent of the global tablets market.
Rhoda Alexander, IHS analyst, stated that, "Nearly two years after Apple Inc. rolled out the iPad, a competitor has finally developed an alternative which looks like it might have enough of Apple's secret sauce to succeed," reported c|net.
It is the very affordable price tag which is making the Kindle Fire popular and helping it to get ahead of many other tablets in the market.
