Dell's no-so-successful Venue Pro Windows Phone 7 smartphone has now been graced with the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update.
The Dell Venue Pro, offered in the United States on wireless carrier AT&T, but due the fact that it was sold only on the Dell website, it failed to perform well in terms of sales.
But much to the delight of existing Venue Pro users, the device has received the Mango update by AT&T. People need to connect their device to the PC and fire up the Zune software to update the device, as reportedby Ubergizmo.
Almost all Windows Phone 7 devices have received the Mango update. Venue Pro is perhaps the last one to get it, due to lack of popularity.
The device failed to perform for many reasons, one of which was the functionality it offered. For example, even after being updated to Mango, the device remains incapable of supporting the compass feature that comes with the platform.
Announced in October 2010, the device comes with a slide out Qwerty keyboard and weighs a hefty 92.8 grams.
