The iPad-only social media app, Flipboard, has launched a new version for Apple's iPhone smartphone with many new features.
Like the iPad app, the Flipboard for iPhone app allows users to integrate their Facebook and Twitter accounts with the app to get status updates and new content postings in a magazine- like still, as reported by TG Daily.
Users can flip through pages using their thumbs, allowing them to manipulate the app using one hand. The new syncing feature allows users receive the same content on both their iPad and iPhone.
Another new feature called ‘Cover Stories' determines the kinds of content users find most interesting and delivers that content via newsfeeds and other online outlets.
"The iPad is an amazing device that challenged us to rethink how people discover and share social news," said Flipboard CEO Mike McCue in a statement.
"With the iPhone, we redesigned Flipboard for a new use case, where people want to find the things they care about even faster and multiple times every day. Flipboard for iPhone puts all the power of Flipboard in your pocket," he said.
