The Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.0 brings high availability and disaster recovery capabilities to the Oracle Solaris 11 operating system.
The new cluster allows organisations to use Solaris 11 to manage mission critical workloads in public, private and hybrid clouds and data centres.
The platform, integrated with Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4, features an instant failure detection system and fast recovery times. It is also capable of being easily integrated with third party and in-house applications.

"Customers can now combine the additional critical HA and DR features of Oracle Solaris Cluster with the new cloud-ready features of Oracle Solaris 11 to help simplify their infrastructure, significantly reduce planned and unplanned downtime and protect mission critical applications in both traditional and cloud deployments," he added, as reported by CBR.
