IDC Names HP an Information Technology Leader in Recent Market Study

HP announced late last week the research outfit International Data Corporation (IDC) named it a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Managed Print Services 2011 Hardcopy Vendor Analysis Study.

IDC is an independent provider of Information Technology based research works with connections all over the world.

According to its latest IDC MarketScape study, HP retains its position as a leading entity in the market by showing excellent strategic direction and offering capabilities.

"The ability to enable mobile workers and create a secure and sustainable printing infrastructure drove significant growth in the MPS industry this past year," said Bruce Dahlgren, senior vice president of HP's Managed Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group, in a statement.

"Looking ahead, market leadership will be defined by the ability to provide a consultative partnership focused on simplifying the most complex business processes and managing a larger print infrastructure," he added.

IDC's MarketScape vendor analysis program is primarily aimed at demonstrating an overview of the standings of all the leading information and communications technology providers in a particular market.
