AMNews: Windows Phone Jailbreak, Intel Cedar Trail, HTC Bootloader Unlocker, Microsoft Working on SMS Flaw Patch

WindowsBreak has come up with a brand new, almost full-scale jailbreak for Windows Phone loyalists, reports Geek. Better still, developer @jaxbot successfully exploited the hack to work on the 1st and 2nd generation WP powered Samsung devices. The developer is now appealing to his hacker buddies to contribute their ideas by making the jailbreak work on devices from other vendors too.

Intel has released its brand new line of Atom processors. Codenamed 'Cedar Trail,' the new processors will boost the capabilities of netbooks by adding instant on and instant connect capabilities. According to the company, there is a possibility of netbooks powered by the new Atom line, including those from HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Samsung, and Toshiba will hit store shelves towards the beginning of the new year.

HTC has announced that it is offering bootloader unlockers for all HTC smartphones launched after September 2011. The Taiwan based technology giant is reportedly busy updating the product pages of all the devices that have made it into the tally so far.

Microsoft Corp. has fixed an SMS flaw that was plaguing the Windows Phone market for sometime now. The revelation was made by Khaled Salameh, the man behind the discovery of the flaw. Salameh, after finding the glitch, reported it immediately to the company.

Samsung is planning to release a value pack for Samsung Galaxy S instead of giving it the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The company caused an uproar when it had announced the Samsung Galaxy S, which was bought by millions of people worldwide, would not be getting Ice Cream Sandwich due to hardware restrictions.
