Clove published this information on their http://blog.clove.co.uk website, in a post that reads: ‘Just a quick message to say that we will have in stock next Monday (9th January) the Samsung Galaxy Extreme XCover’.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Xcover back in August 2011, only the handset never arrived with any retailers or mobile phone networks.
Mid-December ITProPortal reported that the mobile phone has been temporary halted for the UK, where Amazon reportedly was due to be selling the device on January 1th.
Amazon has now noted that the Samsung Xcover is being released on January 14 – 5 days after Clove has taken stock of the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover is the company’s first waterproof and dust proof smartphone with an IP rating of 67, and is their answer to the Motorola Defy and Sony Ericsson Xperia active.
The Xcover will ship with a 3.65-inch HVGA TFT LCD display, whilst powered by an single core 800MHz processor, with a 3 megapixel camera, a 2GB microSD card whilst running from the Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 OS.Leave a comment on this article
